Though we’ve seen things like Candela and Cafe Au LED portable rechargeable LED lights before, none have been quite this tasty. Nick Foley’s Pear Tree LED lights use the clever combination of a fruit tree and energy-efficient lighting to create something pretty unique. Each pear is magnetically attached to the tree, and contains 10 LEDs that charge when they’re “growing” on the branch; “harvest” them for a good hour or so of pear-ly light — just don’t try to poach them in honey and wine. We’re glad to see that LEDs are getting popular enough that they now grow on trees.

Roberto Cárdenas has designed a unique corner lamp for Design House Stockholm. With the stand and shade of a 90° angle it fits in every corner. The stand is made from lacquered steel and the shade from white plastic parchment. The Corner Lamp was awarded the Best Home Product by GQ Magazine in 2006. Bye Bye dark and dull corners!

‘Stack’ is a table lamp designed to create an illusion that resembles a pile of rock-solid stone slabs stacking on top of one another while retaining an aesthetically pleasing form and posture that is simple yet functional. Once lit, the arrays of light will slip through this seemingly impenetrable material that will instantaneously warm up its surrounding environment. The use of a minimalism approach allows its user to further appreciate the texture and the unique properties of this revolutionary material without the contamination of a visually-complicated design.
